In the “huerta” of Murcia , we built a secluded garden with a tropical feel, filled with palm trees, cycads, bananas and gingers. We used rounded quartz pebbles as mulch to evoke the presence of water. As stepping stones we used Brazilian multi-colour slate
A sloping garden complete overgrown with weeds and only filled with white gravel was completely overhauled. The steep slope rendered the garden useless. The owner wanted to create a large level area which could be used as playground for the grandchildren and as a seating area. We designed a terraced garden with beechwood railway sleepers. That way we created a large level area with artificial lawn, surrounded by terraced garden beds at different heigths filled with Citrus trees on one side and palm trees on the other, at the far end a solitary olive tree was planted. The entire garden was surrounded by bottlebrush trees to create privacy screening.
Renewal / Design existing garden in the urbanisation of Altorreal in Murcia. The owner is fan of ancient Egypt, and asked us to do something with that theme. The garden is on a slope, so we created terraces with volcanic tuff blocks , giving it an Egyptian feel, as if we were standing at the foot of the Pyramids .
